Business Food Donations

Turn Your Surplus Food into Community Hope

The Value of Donating Food

Business food donations in the food security sector is also known as rescued food or surplus food. When donations are made to charity you're not just reducing waste on our planet – you're transforming good food into dignified meals for Toronto's most vulnerable families while earning valuable tax benefits for your business.

How It Works

  • As a Registered Charity, we can issue official tax receipts for eligible food donations (gifts in kind).

  • Your business can claim the fair market value (FMV) of your donation as a charitable deduction against taxable income.

  • The real benefit = FMV of donation x your corporate tax rate.
